Translations from French and Italian to English
Extensive experience translating academic, journalistic and institutional texts in the fields of culture and the arts, anthropology, social and political sciences. Work includes major research publications such as the MEDITERRA Report (2013, 2016, 2018) published by the CIHEAM (International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies) with Sciences Po Press, as well as articles for Babelmed.net. Additional work includes communication, press and presentation materials for cultural organisations and brands such as Mana Chuma Teatro and Officine Universelle Buly.
Literary translations from Maltese into French
Translation of contemporary Maltese poetry and prose, contributing to the international circulation of Maltese literature. Authors translated include Adrian Grima, Antoine Cassar, John Aquilina, John Portelli, Clare Azzopardi and Norbert Bugeja. Their works have been presented at festivals such as the Festival de Lodève, Voix Vives and Passa Porta Festival and published in various journals.
Poetry writing (Maltese)
Author of poetry in Maltese published in journals and collective volumes. Her first collection, bejn baħar u baħar (Merlin Publishers, Malta, 2019), was translated and published internationally in Italian (Terre sospese), Greek (Μετέωρες χώρες), Spanish (Tierras suspendidas), Arabic, English (Between Seas) and French, reflecting international recognition. Poems have also been translated into several other languages including Romanian, Albanian, Mandarin, and Nepali.
Management of collaborative cultural projects in the Mediterranean
Coordination and development of international cultural collaborations across the Mediterranean region. Activities include feasibility analysis of cultural initiatives, evaluation of grant applications, fundraising, coordination of international networks, and multilingual research and dissemination of information. Strong knowledge of the cultural and artistic sector in the Mediterranean, particularly the MENA region, with long-standing collaboration with Mana Chuma Teatro (Italy).
